Data dictionary
The Data Dictionary contains detailed information on the content, format and structure of each water data set: rivers, lakes, groundwater, transitional, coastal and marine waters, and water quantity.
Water quality
Three tables are used in the Water Quality dataset: "disaggregated data" table, used by the agencies for the input data; "aggregated data" table, which includes annual aggregates by monitoring sites for developing the indicators; and the "monitoring site" table for the spatial data on monitoring site locations.
Disaggregated data
Raw disaggregated water quality data on the observed values (e.g. concentrations) of determinands in rivers, lakes and groundwater as reported by EEA Member Countries on an annual basis.
